What if...

  • there was no war
  • people could get along
  • teachers were paid more
  • sports were less important
  • education was cheaper
  • governments actually fixed things
  • there was no debt
  • china invaded
  • we used nukes again
  • politicians didn't line their pockets
  • we didn't need to sleep

What if teachers were paid more?

Teachers provide education to all the people around the world but at least in the US they are not paid very much. I believe that teachers should be paid more what pro athletes make instead of what they do now. I don't see why we need to pay pro athletes so much money for entertainment when the people that educate us are not getting nearly as much. I know schools are funded by paying taxes and all but I don't see why people are willing to spend so much money on watching a sports game but they don't want to spend money to pay teachers more what they deserve. I know athletes train hard and work hard for the money they make but so do teachers. Teachers have to put up with annoying kids or adults.

What if we had to use nukes again?

With all the countries that have nukes would there be anything left after a war like that. would enough people survive to rebuild the world or would we just stop existing? Would the radiation kill every thing immediately or would some things survive and mutate? I don't really think anyone would really use a nuke on someone else again not after what happened the first time. Plus the results would be a lot more devastating this time around because of the other countries that have nukes. How many of them would retaliate if someone fired a nuke at someone else just because they saw an opportunity. We should never have to use nukes again because we have other weapons to do the killing for us that don't irradiate an entire country.

What if we didn't need to sleep?

If we didn't need to sleep there would be so much more time to get things done. businesses could stay open all the time and make more money. People would have more time to work on things they wanted to if they were not at work or school. I suppose if we didn't need to sleep we wouldn't feel tired at all? Or maybe something else would replace sleeping.

Looping

 Fear

There are many things that people are afraid of, some people are afraid of spiders others are afraid of snakes and almost everyone has some fear of the dark. Even if adults don't like to admit it. Even if there is no reason to be afraid of a dark area some people still find it hard not to get scared when they have to walk through that area. There are plenty of other things to be scared of. Not all of them have to be things we can see. Some people have fears about heights others are afraid of germs. others are afraid of being left alone. I personal am afraid of heights taller than two stories or three stories. Unless it is on the sloped roof of a one story building then i get uneasy there too. I also have a strange fear of ladders. I don't like climbing on them to get anywhere, especially if they are unsteady and/ or flimsy.

Dark

Most children have some fear of the dark. It comes from thoughts of monsters under the bed or in the closest, or from some other experience in the dark. Adults think that kids should grow out of their fear by a certain age but sometimes, even if they don't want to admit it adults are still creep-ed out by dark spaces. Especially places that are not familiar to them. Those kids that adults think have grown out of there fear have probably just learned not to go running to mom or dad when they think they see something in the dark. and they probably have figured out that there room is not full of monsters at night, so they have no troubles with the dark in there rooms. there are some places that creep out adults somewhere in their subconscious, for example long pitch black hallways, or basements that are not finished, or maybe really long winding roads through woods. there is no reason to be ashamed of being afraid of the dark because chances are that someone else you know is afraid too.

Monsters

Children make monsters out of anything. when they are in there room at night they see creatures in the toys and clothes and furniture around them. They also think that there are monsters under there bed or in the closet. There is nothing wrong with a child being scared of "monsters" they see in there room, but they need to learn that there is no monster that will get them in the night. Otherwise they will not be able to function as an adult. I'm not sure what age most children grow out of their fear of the dark but I would think somewhere around  three of four maybe. I don't know why children make monsters out of things around them because I cant remember what I was like at two or three. Maybe the fear of monsters just comes from the fact that the kids are left alone to sleep and the are not used to that, but when they finally get used to being alone in the dark to sleep the monsters they created disappear for them.

New Computer

November of 2012 I got a job working at price cutter. I worked a lot the first few weeks because it was holiday session and I made alright money quick. The first thing I saved for was a computer that my friend had gotten a couple months before and I really liked it. It was a Dell 1500 and it the specs looked good for gaming to me. It had an i7 8 core processor, an nVidia 680 graphics card, a two terabyte hard drive, 10 USB slots and it cost about $1500 which I thought was pretty good. But when I went online to order mine the first week of January I could not get the exact same build that he had. The best graphics card they had when I looked was the nVidia 640. Which was still really good. I have used the computer for gaming almost every day since I bought it.

Getting A Car

Last Thursday my dad text me that he found a truck for sail at the Volkswagen dealership that looked nice and was relatively cheap. The truck was a black 2001 ford flair-side F150 and the dealer was wanting $6000 for it. Friday after class i went with my grandfather to take a look at the truck and see if we could talk them down some on price. After the test drive my grandpa thought it was a good truck and was worth trying to buy. So I made an offer of $5250 and the salesman took the offer to his manager. As we where sitting the the office waiting my grandpa said that he could get me a loan with no interest. I replied by asking how. He said he brought his check book with him. I was really happy that he would do that for me and when the salesman said they had excepted my offer I was really exited. After the long process of getting the paperwork filled out I went by the bank to get the money I owed my grandpa. Then I went over to my grandparents house to show my grandma the truck. On the way over to my grandparents I remembered that I should probably pick up my sister.

Jung Typology

My Jung Typology test results where pretty much what I suspected. My indicator is ISTJ and it means: Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judging. Most of the description is what I expected, but the description of the writing process I don't believe are correct for me. The test says that in the writing process, the ISTJ will often…
Use an efficient and well organized writing process
Reflect on past experiences and create a plan based on previously successful outlines
Need to consider the impact their writing has on their audience
Clarify the objective and obtain clear instructions and expectations
Write a first draft and then revise writing to omit unnecessary details and include generalizations
Incorporate headings, graphs, charts and tables in order to highlight key points

I don't think any of the things on that list are part of my writing style. I don't have a very good ability to reflect on past experiences, and don't use an efficient or well organized writing process. I don't think that this test will help me too much as a writer because I don't believe that any of the points.

Linkin Log

Link-in logs are and awesome kids toy that i never got to have a set off. I got to play with them at other peoples houses but my parents never got me a set for myself. Instead I grew up with Lego's and I got to build cool things other that log cabins and forts. I would take a set of Lego's and build the way the instructions said for and keep them for a little while then I would go back and canabalise the parts i needed off of them to make something I wanted. Then I would keep those around for a little while before starting again. My parents took me to Lego land in Kansas city when i was a kid and i don't remember if they bought me very many sets of Lego sets or not because they can be pretty expensive sometimes. There are sit sets of Lego's that I wanted that I never got. The Lego police station with all the vehicles was one of the top sets I wanted but I didn't ever get it there was also a fire station that I really would have liked to have but again i never got it. all my Lego's where stored in a n R2D2 cooler that my parents had. From where they got it I have no idea but it was cool. I had gotten so many that it over into a car cooler.
